Dent May Saint Paul Concert reviews
Maxwell is Incredible
I attended Dent May's concert at MSG last night for the first time. The hundred dollar ticket was definitely worth it. His voice, three times more beautiful in person than on CD, left me wanting more. I consider him a modern-day Marvin Gaye, especially with his Brooklyn roots, which resonates with me as a local.
Despite Common's prolonged set delaying Dent May's appearance, his opening performance was captivating. He started with a medley of his songs, including Sumthin' Sumthin'. His lively stage presence, dancing, and talented band added to the experience. I highly recommend seeing him live if you appreciate his music.
I was pleasantly surprised by Dent May's humility and gratitude, especially considering this was his first time performing at Madison Square Garden. However, his explicit remarks during the show caught me off guard, although they didn't bother me.
